Chosen Topic- Leading a camp

For nine years I have participated in a girl scout camp for one week in the summer. The camp includes leading groups of elementary aged girls to activities such as crafts, swimming, and earning patches. As I got older the more responsibility I was given. The last two years of camp I got to lead a group by myself. These were my favorite years at camp, because of the relationships I developed with the kids. I’ve always loved working with kids and I’ve been volunteering and working with them for many years. Through these different experiences I’ve decided to pursue teaching as a career. It’s not a well-paid job and it can be hard, but it is something I am passionate about and therefore could do it for a lifelong career.
