Natural Setting #2: Solar Eclipse

At the beginning of this semester, we were blessed to see a mostly solar eclipse during the day time. I excitedly ran to marching band practice that morning in hopes that we would get to see it. Not only did we stop practice to see it, one of the members was connected with members of NASA and provided free eclipse glasses for every member of the band. As the disgustingly sweaty bodies all lay down huddled to experience this once in a lifetime opportunity, I realized that I had forgotten that the eclipse was that day until that morning. While we had been talking about it for weeks, all of the excitement of my new band family created a positive distraction. This is when I realized that I found my second band family.
