“Continue to remember those in prison as if you were together with them in prison, and those who are mistreated as if you yourselves were suffering.” Hebrews 13:3

As I was reading my daily devotion, this verse struck me because of slavery going on in Libya. People around the world had just started to know about this because of a video that surfaced on the Internet of a black African male being sold for $800 worth. When it was shown on CNN, BBC and France24 (french channel), that’s when the world began to discuss this evil act. I, personally, have known this for more than a month. It’s very unfortunate and lamentable especially coming Libyans who by the way, are Africans are selling their own African brothers and sisters because of the color of their skins. This verse in Hebrews led to pray for these human beings who are treated as objects in a marketplace, that they should be free.
