Phenomenology of Prayer

On page 20, it states that silence is very important element of prayer because we have to be quiet to let God speak to us externally  and internally to let our hearts and mind come to silence. It is difficult to do so because our brain are boisterous and noisy places with worries, and other things we have in our minds that might hinder to silence and shut down to listen internally. Maybe that’s why, Believers of Christ are told to find a “quiet space’ to pray to Him. And listening to God has also have to do with Scripture because obviously we cannot hear him in our head.
