Topic of Choice #3: Creation Sings
God of creation
There at the start
Before the beginning of time
With no point of reference
You spoke to the dark
And fleshed out the wonder of light
Before the beginning of time
With no point of reference
You spoke to the dark
And fleshed out the wonder of light
And as You speak
A hundred billion galaxies are born
In the vapor of Your breath the planets form
If the stars were made to worship so will I
I can see Your heart in everything You’ve made
Every burning star
A signal fire of grace
If creation sings Your praises so will I
So Will I (100 Billion Times) by Hillsong
A hundred billion galaxies are born
In the vapor of Your breath the planets form
If the stars were made to worship so will I
I can see Your heart in everything You’ve made
Every burning star
A signal fire of grace
If creation sings Your praises so will I
So Will I (100 Billion Times) by Hillsong
At the beginning of the semester I would often ride my bike to and from school listening to "So Will I" by Hillsongs on my phone. I couldn't help put this song on repeat as I breezed through the trees. At the beginning of the song the lyrics play out this beautiful depiction between creation and its exaltation of the Creator. This song recognizes the nature of worship found in creation to its Creator. The vastness, beauty and mystery that nature reflects in its every day being reveals a small portion of who the Creator is. As I would listen to this song I would often find myself continually biking past my house and into a place where I was feeling called to be. One time I was biking while listening to this song I felt this pull towards turning into a different direction that I would not have normally gone towards. What I found as I biked towards this unknown place was a beautiful tree resting in the middle, surrounded by a few small houses. It looked like it could have been much like the tree in the garden of Eden. I stayed there. Resting in that moment, observing the tree and reflecting upon its existence.
