Topic of Choice: Failure
Failure is an outcome that nobody wants. When you fail at something that you've worked extremely hard, it can feel like the universe is against you. In my life, I have had a multitude of successes as well as a lot of failures. After recognizing you failed, you often try to analyze the situation to see what you could have done to change the outcome which leads to feeling guilty and being angry with yourself. Self-hate is destructive. I have learned that when you fail, it is best to not think "what could I have done" but rather "okay, this is how I can improve next time." This approach leads to a more positive and accepting perception of self.
